Yes, Online Geometry Tools is 100% free. No signup,
no download, no subscription required. Just open the page and start drawing.
Yes. Every tool is fully touch-enabled. The compass,
protractor, and ruler all support finger gestures on Android and iOS devices.
By default drawings are lost on refresh. Enable
Save work in browser from the Display settings
(monitor icon in sidebar) to keep your work across page sessions using
your browser's local storage.
Press Ctrl + Z (Windows / Linux) or
Cmd + Z (Mac) to undo. Press Ctrl + Y
to redo. Up to 25 undo steps are supported for pen drawings.
You can download as PNG, WebP, or
SVG. Use the download icon in the sidebar. You can also
toggle whether the dot grid background is included in the export.
Yes. Click the monitor icon in the sidebar to open Display
settings. Choose from 6 preset backgrounds including white, dark, navy,
green, and paper tones.
Select the Eraser tool from the sidebar. Increase the
stroke width slider for a larger eraser radius. Draw over any area to erase it.
Click the compass icon to activate it. Use the
Spread handle (↔) near the pencil tip to set the radius.
Then drag the Draw handle (pencil tip area) across the
canvas to draw an arc or full circle.
Use the Color Dot at the top of the sidebar to pick any
color. The compass, pen, and SVG tools all share the same active color.
Drag the Resize handle (the diagonal arrow button near
the hinge) to scale the entire compass up or down while keeping its
proportions.
Open the protractor from the sidebar. Drag the red arm handle
to adjust the angle. The degree value is displayed automatically in the
center arc area.
Yes. Set your desired angle by dragging the arm, then click the
green ✓ button. A line will be drawn on the canvas at
that exact angle.
Click the Flip button (↔) on the protractor to mirror
the angle arm from left to right. Useful when measuring angles on the
opposite side.
Activate the ruler from the sidebar. Position and rotate it as needed.
Then click and drag directly on the ruler surface to draw
a perfectly straight line snapped to the ruler edge.
Drag the blue circular knob at the top of the ruler to
rotate it freely. The current angle is shown in the info badge above the
ruler. Click Reset to return to 0°.
Drag the blue pill handle on the right edge to make the
ruler longer or shorter (5 cm to 30 cm range). You can also scroll the
mouse wheel over the ruler to resize quickly.
Click the shapes icon in the sidebar to open the SVG Draw
panel. Select your shape (line, rectangle, circle, triangle, oval, or dashed
line), then click and drag on the canvas to draw it.
After drawing, the shape is auto-selected. Drag it to
move. Use the corner handle (bottom-right) to resize.
Click ✕ to delete or ⧉ to duplicate.
Select a shape, then click the ✎ (pencil) button that
appears beside it. A color panel will open where you can set the
stroke (border) and fill colors independently.
Select the Polygon tool from the SVG Draw panel. Click
on the canvas to place each corner point. To finish, click on the
first point (red dot) again or double-click
anywhere.
